We all long to be happy. To have careers that look and feel like us, that use the best of our skills and talents but feel meaningful and support the vision we’ve always had for ourselves.

For those of us who find ourselves in unfulfilling careers, we want to enjoy going to work every day, while knowing our hard work is creating financial security for ourselves without sacrificing on our health, relationships and self-confidence. Is it really impossible to have it all?

What’s different about my method

 

The key difference maker is that I take a comprehensive view of both the obvious and unseen elements that drive our sense of fulfilment in life – not just the usual things we’ve been taught to focus on. My Sources of Meaning framework captures not one but 6 dimensions of who you are, giving you a rich 360-degree view of who you are and what matters to you, including your personality, values, wellbeing needs and 3 other critical areas.

If we just follow passion but get stuck having to pretend to be someone else, we will eventually burnout. If we focus only on our “purpose” and contribution to the world, but we don’t enjoy the on-the-ground work we’re doing in the daily grind of execution, we will run out of steam. If we are in a job that lets us be ourselves but we aren’t able to meet our basic needs, we will lack security and be unable to improve our lives.

About me

I'm Tenji Moyana, an executive coach, speaker, podcaster and leadership developer

I’m a certified integral coach with a BA from Harvard University.

My core strategies for creating breakthroughs for clients have come from building a successful career in some of the world’s leading high-performance organisations, including McKinsey & Company, J.P. Morgan, Massmart (a Walmart subsidiary).

At these organisations, I’ve given corporate strategy, talent performance and investment advice to C-suite executives in the largest listed companies in Africa, England and the United States, helping them to optimise their performance and grow to new and more profitable levels.

I've also had practical leadership experience as CEO of two profitable businesses and as a junior executive in Massmart, Africa's largest retailer.

I’ve experienced it all – burnout, career misalignment, finding my authentic voice, advancing to management and leadership positions in demanding corporate environments and following my passions to build a thriving business. So, when I support you with your career and leadership challenges, I’ve been there too!
